Last season Sylvain was once again one of the team’s best riders, proving his class and determination in every race in which he participated. Sylvain was a major player in the northern classics as he rode in support of his teammates, and he also gave himself a splendid victory in the Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde, thanks to a fantastic performance in the time trial during the penultimate stage. His newfound groove in the time trial after a few years of ups and downs also allowed Sylvain to capture the fourth national time trial championship of his career, and earned him a place in the “Magnificent 6” club that won the World Championship TTT in Valkenburg. In 2013, Sylvain will once again be on the attack and on the hunt for success because “I adore this sport and the wind in my face,” says “La Machine.” “On this team we are highly motivated, and once again this year we are going to give it everything we’ve got to achieve significant goals.”
