Mark’s biographyProf. since: 2007 Not many words are needed to present Mark Cavendish. He is pure energy in every respect. Capable of winning more than 90 races in his career, Mark completed his rise to stardom on the international cycling circuit when he captured Milan–San Remo in 2009 and the World Championship road race in 2011. L’Equipe newspaper named him the Best Sprinter Ever in the Tour. The 23 victories he has garnered in the Tour put him in fourth place among the most prolific stage winners ever in the Grande Boucle. He is unbeaten on the Champs-Élysées since 2009. In 2013 Mark will be looking for new successes, especially in the Grand Tours, which remain his main objective. He will be able to count on a cohesive group of athletes ready to sacrifice themselves for the success of their captain. “My success is the success of the entire team,” Mark is careful to point out with one of his trademark smiles.
